Support for other Artists

Remedy Music has a long-term vision to build an agency for artists and musicians.  The heart behind it is that many musicians have songs that helped to bring healing to them in their darkest moments.  But rarely do they have an outlet to share what really matters to them through their music.  So often are they stuck sharing the same covers or background music over and over.  When truly, why they became musicians in the first place is to connect with themselves - and others, heart to heart.  To share songs and stories that have true, transformative power and meaning to them.

The other side of this is that hospitals, schools, age care homes, homeless centres, refugee aid centres, jails and disability support centres are filled with people who feel alone.  Who don’t know if anyone understands what they are going through.  This is where inspired artists, creatives and songwriters come in.  They can share stories of hope - from where they perhaps came out of the exact crises that others the audience also went through.

Of course, we could also bring in speakers [not necessarily artists] from any field who are professionals in mental health or in the sector we are reaching. However the unique position of an artist is that we can give people something to hold on to, forever.  To remind them over and over again that they are not alone.  A song discovered online - for many - can become like a mantra that pulls us out of one mind set into a better, more hope-filled one.  How much more can this happen when a person gets to actually actually interact with an artist or even just experience live, an artist’s performance and story.  We could see this expanding into artists running workshops, and visiting as many different sectors of society as possible.  Because we often feel the more people we can reach, the more power an impact we can make.  To us, creativity is a gift, and we want to share that gift with as many people as we can.  We just need the avenue to be able to do so.

This is our long-term vision, and if you’d like to partner with us in any way to help make this happen, you can join the movement or contact us.
