Bringing joy to communities through music and creativity.
Here at Remedy we believe that everyone has value, and no-one should be locked away on the inside. We have experienced something extraordinary that happens when we let ourselves open up. When we push past our fears and anxieties and let ourselves truly live - we start to find out why we were born. When we start to be truly creative. To think outside of the box. To dream. To be inspired and nourished by a sunset, an ocean, the warmth of a friend’s smile; and encapsulate that moment into something that lives on. Whether it be a painting, a poem, or a song. We’re here to inspire you, and let you know that your voice matters.
Our mission is in our name:
Help remedy the broken hearts of those struggling in their mental health, to bring community to those who feel alone, and ignite the creativity of those who’ve felt locked away on the inside for far too long.
We are all passionate about helping the community and have worked alongside many organisations including Red Frogs, Armed for Life, Scouts, WAAPA, the Australian Girls Choir and the WA Symphony Orchestra. We share a deep bond that we hope to share with you - through our music, our dances, and our message. We’ve each had our deep struggles with mental health - including with ADHD, chronic illness, eating disorders, family crisis, anxiety and depression. But in a way it’s what’s driven us to do what we do, because we have each found so much healing in our journeys, and want to use our music to share that hope around.
We run bush dances, music coaching, mental health workshops, concerts and live performances.
We are inspired by modern folk bands such as Mumford and Sons and Passenger as well as singer-songwriters of the 70s who created social change, such as Bob Dylan, Larry Norman and Billy Joel.
We want to see communities coming back together, connecting on a raw level. We are inspired by our travels overseas to places such as Nepal where music and dancing is part of everyday village life. We are inspired by our faith journeys. We want to bring good old fashioned fun back into daily life again. And we want to inspire you to hope, to dream, and to be creative again. We want you to feel seen and heard no-matter who you are and what you’re going through. And most of all, we want you to know that you are never alone.
